-nymphs in sand & gravel beds of pools in torrential streams (Smith 1956); in streams and rivers on sand and cobble substrates (Abbott 2005)

-The Guadalupe River record of Paltothemis lineatipes was based on a misidentification of  Brechmorphoga mendax (Bayer 1975)
